At Panera Bread®, we believe in giving back to local communities. We show our appreciation for customers not only within our bakery-cafes but also throughout the communities we serve by sponsoring special events open to the neighborhood, participating in charitable events and offering various Operation Dough-Nation® programs. In 2012 alone, Covelli Enterprises donated over $17 million to local food banks, hunger relief agencies and other community organizations.

Community Bread Box
With the generous help of our customers, we have been collecting funds in all of our Panera Bread locations through our Share the Bread community breadboxes. We are matching all funds collected and will be putting the money towards a 4,000 square foot addition to the Children's Cancer Center.
Day-End Dough-Nation
Another component of the Operation Dough-Nation® program is our commitment to giving back to those who are hungry in our community. At the end of each day, all unsold bread and bakery products are donated to local food banks and pantries.
Donations/Community Events
Panera Bread values corporate citizenship and regularly makes in-kind donations to community events and non-profit fundraisers.
